Julia Charles studied Naturopathic Nutrition at the UK School of Naturopathic Nutrition and furthered her qualification by taking a Diploma in Food Intolerance Testing.  Believing strongly in empowerment, Julia encourages patients, through a journey of education, to take responsibility for their health and develop the confidence to manage their own healing process. 

Being passionate about food and nutrition, she is a true believer that supporting the body nutritionally does not have to imply a compromise on taste and the enjoyment of food.  Healthy food does not have to be boring, dull or time consuming – it should be fun and exciting indeed; a celebration!  

Julia’s philosophy focuses on identifying areas of the body which may be imbalanced or compromised by using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a diagnostic tool.  

The emphasis therefore is not on suppressing symptoms but working to establish the root cause of a problem.  By detoxifying the problem area, the body can be encouraged to heal itself.  This is an approach where nature and science meet.  Julia uses nutrition, vitamin/mineral support and various nutritional therapies in her practice.   

The use of intolerance testing can be a valuable tool, especially where digestive imbalances are present.  The overall approach is one of ‘healthy balance’ the objective being to work with individuals on a personal basis, at a level which is appropriate depending on their lifestyle, personality and timeframe.  Every person is unique and it is fundamental that they are treated as such.
